How to connect Brevo with WordPress forms
Creating a Brevo subscribe form in WordPress requires a few simple steps. Don’t worry, it will only take a couple of minutes to put them together. So let’s dig in!
1. Get set up with Zapier.
The Ninja Forms Zapier add-on is the tool that establishes the link between WordPress and the application you want to send data to. First, install and activate the Zapier add-on on your website.
Next, create an account with Zapier themselves. Please note that the number of zaps you can make depends on your Zapier plan, but the number of zaps you’ll be able to integrate with Ninja Forms using the Zapier add-on is unlimited. Now you’re ready to get started!
2. Make a Zap!
Integrations between applications handled by Zapier are called Zaps. We’ll be creating a Zap that will connect Ninja Forms with your target service. It’s super simple. Just log into your Zapier account, click “+Create” and select Zaps.
3. Setup your Trigger and Action to connect any WordPress form with Brevo
Click on the Trigger and search for Ninja Forms. Click on the Action and search for Brevo.
Now that you have both Ninja Forms and Brevo, you want to select events for both. For Ninja Forms, we selected New Form Submissions. For Brevo, we selected Add or Update a Contact.
Now you need to connect to your Brevo account. You have options to connect to your existing account or create a new one.
A Zapier pop-up will appear to enter your Brevo API Key.
If you don’t have a Brevo account, take a moment to create one for free and create the API v3 key by navigating to your Brevo account > Your Company Name > SMTP & API and copy or generate a new API key.
You can name your API Key. Please note, that once you create a new API Key, you will see a pop-up with your API Key. This is the moment you want to copy the key and save it somewhere safe as you will no longer be able to access your API key in the Brevo account.
Now head over to Zapier and paste the API key. Click Yes, Continue to Brevo. You successfully connected to your account.
4. Test Zapier connection with Ninja Forms
It’s time to test the Zapier connection with Ninja Forms. Click on the Ninja Forms New Form Submission and locate the Your webhook URL.
Copy the webhook URL from Zapier, and head back to WordPress and into the Emails & Actions tab on your form. Add a Zapier action that is available if you installed the Zapier add-on, and paste the webhook into the Zapier Web Hook field:
Now Publish (save) the form. Preview the form, enter test data into each field (do not skip this step!), and Submit the form preview. Now head back to Zapier, and click the Test trigger.
If you follow our steps, you will be able to see the most recent records for your existing forms. You can also search for a form by typing the name of the form.
5. Map Ninja Forms fields to Brevo fields
Click Continue with the selected record and map the Ninja Forms form fields with the Brevo fields.
Click Continue and then click on the Test step.
As you can see below, our test was successful because of the message showing “New contact added with…” This indicates the contact was added to your Brevo list.
Once you click the Publish button, the Zapier connection will be active and you will receive every contact to your Brevo list from every Ninja Forms submission. Yay!
