Keeping clients and team members informed on form submissions can be a time-consuming task, especially if you are handling multiple websites and manually exporting data.
Ninja Forms has a solution to simplify the process of sharing a summary of your form submissions via email at regular intervals. It’s called the Scheduled Submissions Export add-on.
The regular submission summary ensures everyone stays up-to-date without needing to log in, request updates, or worse, teach your client submission management. Let’s dig in!
Send weekly email reports with form submissions
With the Scheduled Submissions Export add-on, you can schedule weekly, hourly, and daily submission summaries to any email address(es). While there’s no monthly option, many agencies find that weekly updates provide a helpful, steady flow of information.
For active campaigns or lead tracking, these regular updates are perfect for sharing timely insights—without crowding up the inbox.
When you install the Scheduled Submissions Export add-on, you will get access to a new tab located under the Advanced tab.
You will also find the Scheduled Exports tab under the Ninja Forms Dashboard for additional settings.
To send weekly form reports, add an email address and configure the export schedule for form submissions within your form builder. Enter the subject and email address where you want to send the summary. Click Done!
You can add multiple email addresses and combine weekly with daily or hourly exports if you like.
Next, navigate to Ninja Forms dashboard > Scheduled Exports, where you’ll see additional settings for your form submission email digests.
You can decide which day of the week you want to send the export and set up the time. Click Update to reflect the changes you make and you are done.
It’s easy to set up digest emails!
That’s it! Now you know how to set up a weekly automated email digest with the Scheduled Submissions Export add-on. Remember, you can export submissions hourly, daily, and weekly to CSV format.
With our core plugin, you can also access and export your form submissions for free to CSV format. If you want to learn how to export submissions from your dashboard and export them to different formats, check our article 4 Ways to Export WordPress Form Submissions.
