Want to add Google Pay as a payment option on your WordPress website? Looking for any way to accept payment that doesn’t require a complex, expensive plugin or fooling with SDKs and snippets? This new, code-free Google Pay for WordPress integration fits the bill!
No fluff, no coding, just plug-and-play Google Pay powered by our partners at PayPal for secure, PCI compliant payments. Let’s get you from “searching Google Pay for WordPress” to “payment received” in the next five minutes!
How to add Google Pay for WordPress
1. Install & activate PayPal Checkout 3.2.0 or later
Grab the Ninja Forms PayPal Checkout add-on. Version 3.2.0 is the first to ship Google Pay (and Apple Pay) support. Install and activate just like any other WordPress plugin.
2. Connect your PayPal Business account
In WordPress go to Ninja Forms > PayPal Onboarding and click Begin Onboarding. You’ll be prompted to log in or create an account, and you’re connected, just like that. No API key hunt-and-peck copy pasta shenanigans required!
3. Add a PayPal Checkout action to the form
Open the form, click Emails & Actions > Add New Action > PayPal Checkout. The action settings window will pop right open for you.
4. Toggle Google Pay on
In the action settings find Payment Options and flip Google Pay to green. Leave PayPal, Venmo, Apple Pay, etc., on or off as you please.
5. Tell the form what to charge
Under Get Total From choose Fixed Amount, Calculation, or Field—whichever matches your pricing setup.
6. Publish and (optionally) test
Need a dry run? Enable Sandbox Mode in the same window, submit a test payment, then switch back to live once everything looks good.
Bonus – more than just Google Pay for WordPress!
With the PayPal Checkout add-on, you get access to loads more payment options than just Google Pay. Better yet, you get to pick and choose what you want to offer.
