✨ November 13, 2023 – The PayPal Checkout Add-on is now available!
We’re excited to announce that accepting payments using Authorize.net and Ninja Forms is now available with the new Authorize.net add-on. Ninja Forms makes creating easy-to-use Authorize.net payment forms in your WordPress site easier and more attractive than ever before.
Authorize.net has been the credit card payment processor of choice since 1996, and over 445,000 merchants worldwide use their services to collect payments from customers. The Ninja Forms Authorize.net add-on is yet another capability for accepting payments, complementing our PayPal Checkout, Stripe, Elavon, and Recurly payment add-ons.
The benefits of Authorize.net add-on
Ninja Forms prides itself on creating beautiful, intuitive and easy-to-design forms, and the Authorize.net add-on is no different. With this new add-on, you can quickly and easily create forms to collect payments.
Authorize.net has a couple of unique features. One of its biggest advantages is the ability to accept user-chosen recurring donations. With other processors, users have to choose from pre-selected amounts. With Authorize.net, your site’s visitors can enter their own amounts.
Another advantage of Authorize.net is your site visitors will not be redirected away from the site when they complete a payment. You can easily create a pop-up on your site with the payment form and keep the site visitor engaged on your site while they submit a payment. This opens new opportunities for payment collection.
With the Ninja Forms Authorize.net add-on, you have the capability to:
- Capability to accept all major card payments on your WordPress site
- Sell any physical or downloadable products or services
- Set up one-time payments
- Set up subscription or recurring payments
- Leverage Authorize.Net’s advanced fraud detection to additionally secure your forms
Getting started with the Authorize.net add-on
To get started, you’ll need the new Authorize.net add-on installed on your WordPress site. If you’re already using the Elite or Pro Ninja Forms license, you can easily login to your account here on NinjaForms.com to download the Authorize.net add-on and install it on your site.
The Authorize.net add-on is included in Elite membership or it can be purchased individually for a single, 5, or 20 licenses. More details on our plans and what they include are available on our pricing page.
Once the Authorize.net add-on plugin is installed and activated on your site, you can easily install the Authorize.net API Login ID and Transaction Key available within your Authorize.net merchant interface. These two values will enable all of the payment forms you design with Ninja Forms on your WordPress site to communicate with Authorize.net.
We’ve got full documentation on how to get your Authorize.net add-on up and running. And of course, our customer success team is on stand-by to help you if you run into any issues.
The only thing left is your creativity. How can the Authorize.net add-on help your business process more payments and provide additional services and products to your customers?
Here are some of the ways that Ninja Forms users can implement the new Authorize.net add-on
While the Authorize.net Add-on is new, we’ve seen some creative use of payment forms with other processors in the past. We’ve seen users create payment forms for:
- Selling a one-off product. Often, WordPress users might not want to use a full cart platform to sell a product when the focus of the site is not fully eCommerce. Using a Ninja Form with payment processing keeps the site running efficiently while still selling a product.
- Short meeting consultations. We’ve seen a number of experts provide payment forms for customers to schedule consultations and meetings.
- Selling an eBook or PDF. While you can easily self publish an eBook on Amazon, why not keep more of the proceeds of your sale by processing the payment yourself. Many large retailers charge a hefty fee for listing on their platforms.
- Newsletter subscriptions. Subscription services such as Substack give content creators an easy way to have a subscription funded email newsletter. Unfortunately, they also charge a percentage for each subscription. Using WordPress and customized subscription forms are an easy way to keep more of your subscribers’ payments.
- Event attendance. Want to have a Zoom meeting, or even an in-person event? You can add Authorize.net payment actions to any event registration form.
- Donations. If your primary WordPress goal is to create entertaining and informative content, you’ve likely built an audience that appreciates your work. Why not allow donations via a simple form on your site? With Authorize.net you can have a number of donation types set including recurring donations, subscription donations, and user-generated donations.
- Quick membership signup. Combine your Authorize.net add-on with the User Registration add on, and you can have one simple form that creates a new user on your WordPress site along with an Authorize.net payment.
