We’re entering the final months of 2023, so now is the perfect time to highlight some of our WordPress community’s top contributors, creators, and experts. Several end-of-year award ceremonies and competitions will do just that.

Notable WordPress Awards in 2023
Bluehost Creators Awards 2023
One of the most prolific WordPress hosting providers will soon recognize the top 20 WordPress creators of 2023! The Bluehost Creators Awards highlights developers, designers, bloggers, and digital marketing agencies who demonstrate talent, passion, and ingenuity.

Who can enter?
Any WordPress user who built their website, blog, theme, or plugin on WordPress can enter. Submissions must be relatively new — created in June 2022 or later. The contest is limited to one submission per application.
Professionals and self-creators will be judged separately. If you’re a student or a blogger, don’t worry about being judged against professional developers and designers.
Bluehost will choose ten winners from each category.
Evaluation criteria
Bluehost evaluates submissions based on creativity, innovation, and user experience.
- Creativity: Websites, themes, and more that stand out from the crowd with unique layouts or one-of-a-kind branding.
- Innovation: Entries demonstrating groundbreaking advancements in the WordPress space.
- User Experience: WordPress creations that keep the user in mind with seamless design and functionality.
Prizes
Bluehost is awarding all winners cash prizes and one year of free web hosting. Cash prizes include:
- 1st Place: $2,000
- 2nd Place: $1,000
- 3rd Place: $500
All other winners will receive $150 each. And don’t forget the priceless honor of publicity for your WordPress creation!
When and how to enter
You can submit your application for the Bluehost Creators Awards on the contest website. Submissions opened in June and will continue through November 16, 2023. The Bluehost jury will evaluate all entries in February 2024 and announce the winners in March.
Monster’s Award 2023
Vote for your favorite WordPress product in this year’s Monster’s Award. Created by TemplateMonster, this contest seeks to solve one of the greatest pain points for all WordPress users — finding the right product for your WordPress site.
Award categories
There are 22 categories in the Monster’s Awards, including:
- SEO Plugins
- WordPress Blogs
- Maintenance Plugins
- WordPress Builders
- WordPress Podcasts
- WooCommerce Plugins
- Free WP Themes
- WordPress Forms (be sure to vote for Ninja Forms!)
The TemplateMonster team has researched and curated the most prominent nominees for each category. However, any user can nominate their favorite product. TemplateMonster adds the most popular suggestions to the existing list of nominees.
Voting process
Monster’s Award is a non-commercial contest. All winners are chosen through a popular vote from users like you. TemplateMaster is adamant about fair voting and accepts no paid promotions from their partners.
After you register and vote, you’ll see the current leaderboard and stats. You can submit one vote for each category.
Deadline and prizes
Cast your votes by December 11 to make your voice heard. Monster’s Award-winners receive a branded winner’s badge for their product, along with incredible brand awareness and publicity. TemplateMonster heavily promotes winners on their blog, social media, and more.

Voting timeline
Voting opened on October 4 and will close on November 30, 2023. The Weekly WP will announce the winners in each category on December 11, 2023. See the 2022 winners here.
