Ninja News: What We’ve Served Up in February

We’re definitely not the stealthiest of ninjas, but sometimes we get so focused on the exciting new projects we’re working on that we get really, unintentionally, quiet. We’re thrilled about some of the new things happening with the plugin, our add-on library, and our content. That’s not even to mention some of our ‘side projects’ that will be making major improvements to your WordPress experience in the not so distant future.

In order to share these out with you better and keep you in the loop, we’ll be starting a monthly review that recaps all of the neat stuff we’ve been up to for that month. That begins now, with our first Ninja News recap for the month of February! We hope you enjoy, and without further ado…

What’s New in February?

Gutenberg blocks, new extensions, upgrades and more... come see what we've been up to this February!

We’ve been very busy since the turn of the new year, gearing up new processes and strategies to bring you improvements and innovations in 2018 that will hopefully make your WordPress life more productive and enjoyable. We’re just getting started implementing a lot of these changes through the month of February, so expect a whole lot more of what you’ll find a sampling of in the months ahead!

Ninja Forms is continually evolving and improving! Here’s some noteworthy samples of what was added and tweaked this month. For a full list, see our changelog on WordPress.org!

  • Gutenberg is right around the corner! We added a Gutenberg block to replace the shortcode when Gutenberg is active. This is a beta feature- look for a lot more Gutenberg readiness in the very near future.
  • Patched a potential XSS vulnerability. Many thanks to Kasper Karlsson at Omegapoint for practicing responsible disclosure.
  • Resolved an issue that sometimes caused excessive page load times in the WordPress admin.
  • Resolved an issue that was sometimes causing code snippets to appear on form display.

New Additions to the Ninja Forms Add-On Library

We’re working hard to bring you the tools you need to succeed. New add-ons are developed based on user demand, so let us know what else needs to be on our development radar for the future!

This month we are bringing you you two brand new CRM add-ons, HighriseCRM and PipelineDeals. This brings are suite of CRM add-ons to six which also includes, Saleforce, Zoho, Inisghtly, and Capsule. We ale have Onepage CRM being reviewed for release soon.

  • An email field on the form can now be used to auto-populate the email field in Stripe Checkout

MailChimp

MailChimp for Ninja Forms

  • Upgraded to the MailChimp 3.0 API
