Welcome to the August installment of Ninja News! It’s national hair-loss awareness month, so we’re dedicating this round of Ninja Forms updates to ease-of-use improvements that will, hopefully, help you keep your hair on your head 🙂 It’s also National Immunization Awareness month so, stay healthy out there too!
Of special note this month, our very own collaborating Ninja Forms developer Kathy Darling is up to something really cool. She’s a member of the USA Women’s National Handball Team, and they’re locked in competition for a spot in the 2019 Pan Am Games. Beating Canada is their last hurdle to lock in a spot. On to business news, we’ve been busy as usual with updates to Ninja Forms, your Ninja Forms add-ons, and of course loads of fresh almost-fall content. Join us below to learn what’s new this August!
Updates to Ninja Forms
Ninja Forms is continually evolving and improving! Here’s some noteworthy samples of what was added and tweaked this month. For a full list, see our changelog on WordPress.org!
- Added the abililty to have no default value for Country and State fields.
- Added the Indian Rupee to the list of available currencies
- Removed unnecessary comments from the main field template
- User Meta Tags will no longer print out the tag when users are not logged in
- When the add form modal on the post page has a lot of forms it now renders a scrollbar so users can get to all forms.
- Character/Word count selector no longer automatically defaults to word count, if the settings is changed.
Add-on Updates
Like the core plugin, we’re working to make your integrations and add-ons better every day. Here are some highlights from that process this month.

- Fixed issue where making changes in the form builder sometimes caused form publish to fail

- The validate each part setting now allows users to move to the previous part, if the current part isn’t complete.

- Migrated password fields from Ninja Forms core, where they are now deprecated.

New Content
A rich, thriving community of users is no small part of what makes WordPress the world’s greatest CMS.
