Twilio SMS notifications for WordPress forms provide a new angle on an old method, notifications. You and I both know that your customer’s inboxes are full of countless emails. So how do you make an impact and set yourself apart from the rest of the pack? With personalized text messages.
Do you run an online shop? If so, you could send a personalized text message after an order form has been completed, instead of an email. Are you an event organizer? Send confirmations to attendees that include details about the upcoming event via text message. Are you an Administrator? Give yourself a break from email, and receive form notifications via text message instead.
Our Twilio SMS add-on can be used individually without additional services like Zapier. You won’t need to hassle with code snippets or custom coding to create your own plugin either.
All you need is a Twilio account, our free Ninja Forms plugin, and the Twilio add-on to get started.
Twilio SMS setup for your WordPress forms
First, Install and activate your Twilio add-on, then head over to your Ninja Form settings. Look for Twilio, and click on the Console Dashboard link.
If you don’t have an account, Sign up for free and follow our step-by-step Twilio account instructions. Twilio offers a free trial to test out its services, including a $15 credit. After the credit runs out, you will be required to sign up for a pay-as-you-go ( US pricing ) plan.
Otherwise, log in and copy your Account SID and Auth Token from the Account Info accordion located in your Account Dashboard or Login Screen.
Return to the Ninja Form settings, and paste the Account SID and Auth Token into the Twilio settings.
