After WordCamp Europe 2022‘s smashing success last June in Porto, Portugal, WCEU organizers are pleased to announce tickets are now on sale for WCEU 2023! Join your fellow WordCampers at the Megaron Athens International Conference Centre for WCEU 2023 in Athens, Greece, from June 8–10, 2023.
As a reminder, WordCamps are a terrific opportunity to attend enlightening presentations and workshops on WordPress and mingle with your fellow community members.
WCEU 2023 Tickets
WCEU 2023 organizers are releasing tickets in batches. The first batch is now open, with two options for tickets:
- Standard: At only €50, these tickets cover attendance for all three days of WordCamp EU, including Contributor Day. (Please note you must register for Contributor Day separately, though the cost is included in your standard ticket. Registration has not yet opened for Contributor Day, so stay tuned.)
- Micro-Sponsor: If you have the means, please consider purchasing a micro-sponsor ticket at €150. WordPress is proud to be an inclusive community. As such, standard WordCamp tickets are reasonably priced to encourage wide attendance, with micro-sponsor tickets helping to subsidize the cost of the event.
According to the WCEU 2023 official site,
“Your ticket provides full access to all the content in our schedule, as well as food and refreshments during the conference, plus an event t-shirt and a few more surprises.”
Get Involved
The WordPress platform is where it is today because of the selfless contributions of community members. WordCamps are no different! If you’d like to get involved in this year’s WCEU, there are several ways to do so:
Speakerships
The call for speakers is open! Anyone with WordPress knowledge is encouraged to apply. Two formats are available:
- Traditional: 45-minute sessions, with 30 minutes for presenting and 15 minutes of Q&A.
- Workshops: Interactive sessions for attendees to put their new insight into practice. There will be 50- and 110-minute workshops.
WCEU will also include expert panel discussions and lightning talks, though there is no open call for these speakerships (organizers will reach out to individuals directly.)

Sponsorships
You can also contribute to WCEU by becoming a sponsor. WordCamps would not be possible without valued sponsors — individuals and organizations who donate their resources to ensure each WordCamp is a fantastic experience for attendees. There is a wide range of sponsor packages for WCEU 2023, ranging from micro-sponsor tickets to the Super Admin sponsorship at an astonishing €80,000!

Volunteering
Lastly, WordCamp needs volunteers! Volunteering is a wonderful way to give back to WP, meet fellow community members, and gain a sense of purpose and accomplishment. WordCamp events rely on many volunteers to keep ticket costs down. Plus, volunteering grants you free entry into the event!
