Email marketing can be a powerful tool for your business to reach and engage with your audience. However, without effective signup forms, none of this can even happen.
If you are looking to connect WordPress forms to CleverReach, it can be difficult to find a plugin with options that often lack important features. But fear not, the Ninja Forms offers an easy solution that lets you connect in a matter of minutes. Let’s dig in!
Integrate your forms with CleverReach email marketing software
There are three essential things you need in order to connect WordPress forms to CleverReach:
Step 1: Set up CleverReach via API Key
To begin, make sure you install and activate the CleverReach add-on for Ninja Forms.
Navigate to your WordPress dashboard, proceed to Ninja Forms > Settings, and click Connect to CleverReach. Enter your credentials and receive an access token automatically. Save settings.
Step 2: Add CleverReach to your WordPress form
Within your form builder, click the “Email and Actions” tab. Next, click the blue and white plus (+) button at the bottom right of the page and select CleverReach.
if you already have an existing list of subscribers and you created a CleverReach form, you will be able to pull the data from CleverReach and map the fields to Ninja Forms. The name of the list is your CleverReach form assigned to your list of subscribers.
Otherwise, you first need to create a form in CleverReach with all the fields corresponding to the same fields in your Ninja Form.
You’ll also need to create a Recipient List, where you want all your new subscribers to go. We recommend you create your custom list fields within your Recipient List (Settings > Fields) as it is more convenient than doing it in your CleverReach form. The following types of fields are supported: Text, Number, Date, and Gender.
That’s it! You’ve just learned how to map any form field into your CleverReach account and connected your Ninja Forms to CleverReach using the CleverReach add-on!
Step 3: Add a CleverReach Opt-in Field (Optional)
If you’re building a newsletter signup form only, it won’t be a problem to subscribe anyone who fills out the form to your list, but if you want to allow your users to subscribe to your campaign from any other form you’ll need a checkbox to ask for a consent to your users.
To include this field in your form, click the blue add field plus (+) button located in the bottom right corner of the form builder and select the CleverReach Opt-In field located under the Common fields.
Make sure you leave the default value Unchecked. Pre-checked boxes are not allowed as they are not considered to be valid consent under GDPR.
When a user checks the CleverReach Opt-in field, the system adds them to the list and processes the CleverReach Action. Conversely, if the user leaves the Opt-in unchecked, the system ignores the CleverReach Action and does not sign up users for your newsletter.
Signup contacts to different email lists with Conditional Logic add-on
If you’re struggling to get the proper attention from your target audience, the problem could be the lack of segmentation. The more relevant your newsletter is for your subscribers, the more successful your email campaigns will be, which will lead to increased engagement and revenue.
Combining the Conditional Logic add-on with the CleverReach add-on, you can sign up contacts to different newsletter lists based on how your visitors fill out the form and start taking more control over your audience.
